my top 4 charcoal face masks

Hi guys! So if you didn’t know this about me, I often like to spend my Sundays relaxing and treating myself.  I usually read, bake, enjoy a bubble bath,  or treat myself to my own mini facial. Over the years, charcoal masks have become so popular and I eagerly jumped on the trend. Charcoal draws toxins, chemicals, and dirt to the surface of the skin, making it a very important ingredient in face masks. I’m always trying to figure out the best way to clear up my skin and keep it glowing and I’ve tried lots of masks over the years. Today, I’ve compiled a list of my top 4 charcoal masks and they’re all pretty affordable, which makes it even better!

First off, we have my Say Yes to Tomatoes Charcoal Mud Mask. This mask is awesome because you can feel it sting your face (in a good way!) I usually rub it on in the shower and leave it on while I shave my legs. It always feels fresh and super clean afterwards.

Second, we have my Cocovit Charcoal Face Mask . This is a little on the pricier side but I think it’s great because it comes in the form of a powder and you can mix it with water, yogurt, honey, etc. This is nice because you never know what kind of facial you’re going to need that day and you can customize it depending on how your skin feels.

Third, we have an amazing sheet mask, the boscia Charcoal Pore-Minimizing Hydrogel Mask. For me, I usually put on my sheet masks when I’m falling asleep and when I wake up I always find it on the floor or crumpled up nearby. I guess I end up taking them off in my sleep? Haha. I like it because I always wake up with glowing, fresh skin. I highly recommend this one. It moisturizes and shrinks your pores at the same time!

Next, we have my favorite mask! I got this mask on Amazon after hearing awesome things. Its the milkpiggy Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask. This mask is particularly designed for your nose. It comes on as a liquid but quickly dries and you can peel it off. I use it all over my face and find that my face feels tingly as I smear it on. I always notice a few pimples coming out in the next few days and then… perfectly clear skin, like it draws all the toxins out!

Tips: Be sure to moisturize ALOT after a charcoal mask. I’d also suggest splashing your face with some cold water. My face is always bright red after I scrub a mask off. However, I have pretty sensitive skin. I hope this encourages you to buy some of your own charcoal masks. I think taking care of your skin is so important and this is just one of the ways you can.

  1. activated charcoal is the best! it’s super messy but i’m a big fan of opening the capsules and mixing my own masks…sounds like the cocovit but not as pricey (:

  2. Looks like the perfect way to spend a Sunday to me! Charcoal does wonders for my skin and I do mix it in with my toothpaste occasionally too when I want a little whitening boost!

  3. I loved this post! I’m currently obsessed with all things skincare – specially face masks, so I’m totally going to give some of these a try! Thanks so much!

  4. My daughter and I tend to get acne …..I particularly get it everywhere! My daughter gets it specifically on her forehead! We might have to take this recommendation into consideration 😉❤️

  5. I LOVE masks!!! And I love charcoal. I’ve seen people using activated charcoal to whiten their teeth… I’ll need to investigate this further. I love that this mask looks like it peels off, instead of being really sticky and messy. I need to try this!

  6. I want to give Hell-Pore a try… mainly because of that pig on the packaging but also because I think my face needs a little TLC lately. (And that one stubborn zit just needs to go away!)

  7. Loving this list! I would love to try the Boscia one. I also got activated charcoal powder from Amazon, looking forward to mixing it with different ingredients to create a face mask!

  8. So glad you posted this! I have been wanting to try a charcoal mask and now I have a top four to choose from! I always go with recommendations lol just like I look at reviews of things before I buy them too! Love it! Yay for a happy face!
