reboot your fruit smoothie

In the morning, I am always running late! I always try to give myself plenty of time to get ready and make myself a healthy breakfast but it doesn’t always happen. It’s just a lot easier to hit that snooze button. So, it’s great for me to just throw a bunch of goodies into a smoothie. This way,  I’m still getting all of the benefits of the fruit yet I can enjoy it on the go in the form of a yummy, refreshing drink.


I decided to pack this smoothie with tons of berries because A. I like the taste and B. They are filled with tons of vitamins and natural sugar to give me an energetic start to the day. I am for sure not a morning person so this helps! I also listen to podcasts in the car on my way to work to help wake me up. I listen to The Dollop and My Favorite Murder and they always make me laugh. MFM is a particular favorite of mine because it is a true crime podcast with lots of humor thrown in.


I also added this vanilla protein powder from Trader Joes, which helps maintain healthy skin, hair, and nails. There are some expensive protein powders out there but I want to do some research before I make an investment in a pricey one. Does anyone have a favorite?



  • A big handful of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries (I added more blueberries this time but it’s up to you!)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 1/4 cup of vanilla soy milk
  • a spoonful of chia seeds
  • Add ice to your cup before you pour!
  • Enjoy 🙂

  3. I NEED this tomorrow morning! I’ve been trying really hard to eat a smoothie every day or at least some type of fruit, this could be something I make the night before and just grab fromnthe fridge in the am. Thanks for the recipe girl and you look glam while drinking it!


  4. That looks so yummy!!!! I drink just protein shakes on their own coz I’m super lazy (how bad is that) but when I can be bothered I chuck fruit in and they are so good.. I use a vegan protein which is super good for you coz it’s mainly pea protein which is fully digestible. I can get you some info if you want xx


  5. I do love a good smoothie! I usually buy a bunch of ingredients at once and prep my smoothies for the whole week (usually on Sundays). I pre portion out my recipes, throw em in Ziploc bags and put them in the freezer. Then I just have to add my liquid base, protein powder, and any seed! Love this recipe!!


  6. This looks so yummy! I’m not sure how I feel about blueberries and raspberries as I find them too sharp but they always look so delicious. Is this sharp otherwise I’m 100% down for making this in the morning as I really need a healthier start to my day!
