Q & A with my mom

Hi there! It’s been a bit hectic lately around my house. Why? My family got a puppy! His name is Louie, he is 2 months old and he is so sweet. He follows us around everywhere, would rather chew a fake plant, my hair, or his blanket than an actual toy. But he is so very lovable. He loves cuddles and is never too far from us if he can help it so say hi to this little nugget below!

On this post, I decided to interview my mom. For those who don’t know her, she is a wonderful chef (and baker) and someone who remains very healthy. In fact, people often think she is about 20 years younger than she actually is! I thought an interview with her would be a great way to get some advice on the blog from someone who I’ve always looked up to. Enjoy 😀

Q: What is your favorite food to make and why?

A: Sauce (Gravy) with meat. The smell of meatballs being fried is heavenly. It brings back memories of growing up and raising my own family. That’s how a home should smell on a Sunday.

Q: What is your favorite thing to eat?

A: Pasta!

Q: Do you have a favorite movie?

A: Gone With The Wind.

Q: What is one way you stay healthy?

A: I try to eat 5 Fruits or Vegetables every day. Some days are better then others. I also have been working out for over 35 years. It’s a way of life.

Q: What do you eat for breakfast, typically?

A: Whole Wheat English Muffin with Peanut Butter.

Q: If you could travel anywhere for a 2 week vacation, where would you go?

A: Anywhere in Europe but especially Italy.

Q: What is one great life lesson that you’ve learned?

A: “Don’t sweat the small stuff”. Life truly is too magnificent to waste energy and time on nonsense.

Q: When life gets stressful, what is a great way to relax and unwind?

A: Take a long walk. Bad weather? Find something physical to do.

Q: Do you have a favorite beauty secret?

A: Sleep!!! It truly is vital to looking ones best. I personally get (and need) 8 hours every night. If I don’t get that, I do not look healthy and fresh the next day. The eyes always give it away.

Q: Out of everything in your closet, what is your favorite thing to wear?

A: Any short skirt makes me happy.

Q: Do you have a favorite fruit or vegetable?

A: Watermelon and Zucchini.

Q: What is your favorite indulgence?

A: Chocolate, especially candy.

Q: What is one fun memory you have with me?

A: The first time I took you skiing in Vermont. You were 7 and fearless! You still are. You couldn’t wait to get off the bunny slope and hit the big hill. Most beginners are terrified of the chair lift, and rightfully so. You loved it!! And for a person who abhors the cold, you didn’t seem to notice it was freezing up there!! You laughed the whole day.
